Programs and Services for Foundations

The Institute for Global Ethics has a long, proud history of working with the foundation community to promote ethical behavior. Since our inception in 1990, we've recognized the pivotal role that foundations can play in pushing for improved ethics. At the same time, we've long recognized that foundations themselves face a wide range of dilemmas that demand internal rigor and ethics.

To help meet foundations' needs, the Institute offers training, workshops, motivational speakers, and specially crafted products. Our offerings include:

Foundations for Global Ethics

Following up on work with foundations and regional associations of grantmakers (RAGs), the Institute launched a new initiative in 2005 to rally the foundation community's support for ethical climate change. Members of this new effort, Foundations for Global Ethics, embrace a core set of values — honesty, respect, responsibility, fairness, and compassion — and are engaged in promoting ethical behavior in their organizations and beyond.
