Rush Kidder to moderate "Ethics in Action" at Council on Foundations Annual Conference 5/9/06

All long-term dynamic foundations have ethics at their core. Recent publicity shows the paramount place that ethics play in the public’s support for foundations. Ethics, therefore, point to the future. Rather than being restrictive, ethical policies that are clearly articulated within foundations will foster support from stakeholders and unify board and staff members around sound core values. Those values form the recipe for enduring success. A climate of “Obedience to the Uninforceable” is our future.

Institute for Global Ethics of Canada Appoints Executive Director

The Institute for Global Ethics of Canada (IGE Canada) is pleased to announce the appointment of Stacey Huget of Vancouver, British Columbia, as Executive Director.

Huget joins the Vancouver-based Institute after an extensive and varied career in corporate, non-profit, and government work, most recently as a special projects consultant with Literacy BC, where she authored the report of the Premier’s Advisory Panel on Literacy and undertook a year-long province-wide consultation on literacy and learning in BC.
