IGE UK Trust became a registered charity in 1995 and envisions "a world where shared moral values shape relationships, determine decisions, and guide actions for every individual, institution, and nation." The mission of IGE UK Trust is "to promote ethical behaviour in individuals, institutions and nations through research, public discourse and practical action.”

The Institute opened a Canadian office in the summer of 2000 and relocated from Toronto to Vancouver in summer 2005.

Center for Corporate Ethics
IGE expanded its focus on business ethics practice in January 2005 with the opening of the Center for Corporate Ethics in New York City. The CCE is committed to helping chief executives and business leaders focus on the challenges of maintaining integrity within large, complex, values-driven corporations. With offerings that include assessment tools, training seminars, and custom consulting services, the CCE works to provide organizations with insight into the attitudes and values of employees and how those values may impact business.
Center for Moral Courage
The Center for Moral Courage, housed within the Institute for Global Ethics, is a new initiative devoted to developing practical tools built on the concepts of Moral Courage, the new book by Rushworth Kidder.
