(Madison, WI)
- On September 25, IGE President and CEO Anthony Gray spoke to students at the
. Gray's talk dovetailed with the school's
, a hugely popular program it launched in 2012. His talk, "Uneven
Slopes," was sponsored by the
, the BGS Department, and the McCombs Ethics Speakers series.
Robert Prentice a professor of business law and business ethics and Chair of the
at the McCombs School of Business said, "Mr. Gray gave our University
of Texas students the same tools that, thanks to IGE training, businesses
have been using to address real-world ethical challenges for 25 years."
"Today's business students will be tomorrow's business leaders,"
said Gray. "If they learn that core ethical principles are valuable
business assets rather than business obstacles, the next generation's
corporate culture will have a giant head start. The Ethics Unwrapped initiative
is an enormous step toward that goal, and it's exactly the kind of
thing we're trying to encourage at IGE."
The Ethics Unwrapped initiative focuses on teaching undergraduate and graduate
students strategies for effectively solving ethical dilemmas. In only
two years, the program has had an international impact, with its social-media
profile expanding far beyond the school to reach hundreds of thousands
of YouTube viewers, and it was recently awarded a $150,000 grant from
the Teagle Foundation.
